At Pax8, we pride ourselves on being a dynamic, get-more-done resource for our MSP partners. That means not only offering the preferred marketplace to buy, sell, and manage cloud solutions, but also providing innovative ways to grow your business, increase efficiencies, and reduce risk. Come with us as we look back on 2022 and revisit some of our highlights from the past year doing just that, including Pax8 Academy, Professional Services, and PSA integrations.

Pax8 Academy

We launched Pax8 Academy in the US, Australia/New Zealand, and Southeast Asia with a simple mission: “Meet every partner where they are, with what they want to learn, in the way they want to learn.” And that’s why Pax8 Academy offers an entire support team of MSP experts, coaches, and peers to help propel you — and your business — forward.

Beginning in 2022, Pax8 Academy evolved by building the structure of an innovative learning hub, including a new learning management system (LMS), and created a massive quantity of new courses, from on-demand to instructor-led to business coaching. The benefits for our partners were undeniable:

  • Instructor-Led courses received 645 new sign-ups
  • 73 unique users per week consumed on-demand learning
  • Peer Groups saw participation grow by more than 300%

By equipping MSPs with the tools, education, and resources they need to save money, save time, reduce risk, and, above all, grow their businesses, Pax8 Academy delivers endless value for our partners.

Professional Services

Launched in the US and Canada on December 12, Pax8 Professional Services is designed to put you first. You can easily give your team the bandwidth and expertise to handle complex processes like migrations, implementations, digital transformations, and custom projects.

When we’ve got every technical detail covered, it frees up more time for you to concentrate on the next move to grow your business with offerings that include:

Migration and Digital Transformation Services

  • Move mail, identity, infrastructure, and applications to the Microsoft cloud with migration and implementation across Modern Workplace and Azure services
  • Improve and modernize collaboration with Teams, Teams Phone System, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Optimize business processes and outcomes with Power Apps and Power Automate

Security Strategy and Enablement

  • Manage and configure devices from the cloud with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager
  • Defensible, secure configurations aligned with the CIS controls and Microsoft’s best practices for identity, device, and workload security

Professional Services by the Numbers

2022 was a banner year for supporting our partners. With a vast array of services, we’re able to tailor our offerings to help your business get exactly what it needs with simplicity, expertise, and a deep awareness of the industry. In 2022, Professional Services:

  • Helped over 200 partners move clients to the cloud
  • Partnered with Microsoft to support the move of about 100 customer workloads to Microsoft Azure
  • Moved over 15,000 mailboxes to Microsoft 365/Exchange Online
  • Dove into new lines of service around Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Syntex, helping to create improved business outcomes
  • Expanded our capabilities to help partners adopt new products into their stack like SentinelOne and BitDefender
  • Educated 173 people this year through M365 Foundations courses

PSA Integrations

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Two of our core 2022 goals were to reduce costs and increase efficiencies for MSPs. With our innovative technology in PSA integrations, Pax8 delivers both with relative ease — and the results speak for themselves.

A Pax8 PSA integration will quickly streamline operations and improve efficiency in your cloud business, saving you as much as $177K of your present value (PV) over three years. Say goodbye to multiple usernames, passwords, and accounts — now you can reduce many of your daily processes to just a few clicks.

Security Hub

When it comes to a cybersecurity breach, it’s a matter of when, not if. That’s not a scare tactic — it’s a simple reality. That’s why Pax8 launched our cybersecurity hub and filled it with courses like Applying CIS Controls and Developing Security Policy along with resources to ensure MSPs can reduce their risk. As cybersecurity experts, we love to do all we can to share critical knowledge so our partners can stay safe.

We punctuated our commitment to helping our partners improve security by hosting a security bootcamp in October. This two-day event highlighted business use cases and technical tips from leading Pax8 partners and explored the future of the security landscape with Pax8 and Microsoft. Our partners left smarter, stronger, and more secure.

Vendor Launches

Pax8 is striving to fill the gaps to ensure that MSPs can find whatever support, tools, and resources they need here at Pax8. In 2022, Pax8 increased our vendor releases by 30% from last year to this year. These new additions provide our partners with even more services and products to help supercharge growth.

By the end of 2022, we will have launched 11 vendors, including:

AWS

AWS (Amazon Web Services) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally.

More than 415 registrants and 173 attendees took advantage of our AWS Bootcamp in November. They got an in-depth look into AWS along with insight into how to build a roadmap based on best practices to enhance their cloud business.

Avanan

Avanan has defined the cutting edge of email security with its patented inline protection and innovative machine learning since its founding in 2016.

Exclaimer

Exclaimer provides world-class centralized email signature management solutions for Office 365 (now Microsoft 365), G Suite (now Google Workspace), and Microsoft Exchange.

Intuit

Intuit is a streamlined suite of financial management tools that are simple to use and manage, letting customers spend less time on their books and more time running their businesses.

Nord Security

Nord Security furnishes partners with the world’s most advanced VPN service, NordVPN, the next-generation password manager NordPass, and the advanced network access security solution, NordLayer.

Watchguard

WatchGuard provides industry-leading network and endpoint security, secure Wi-Fi, multi-factor authentication, and network intelligence products and services.

We’re also offering the following additional vendors to support our partners: Printix, Crewhu, Domotz, and Todyl. We’ll also be launching DNS Filter in January of 2023 so check back for more information!

Pax8 Expansion

Here we grow again! Pax8 has now launched into more areas of EMEA, including Bristol and Zwolle as well as ANZ. But we aren’t stopping there. We will also launch into Southeast Asia by the end of the year, and we’re targeting 80 new partners in this region already. In total, we now have offices in 26 countries. As our footprint expands, so will the opportunities our partners have to grow their business.

Awards in 2022

Pax8 is always honored to receive awards because, at a high level, they highlight just how much we’ve benefited our clients. More specifically, these awards serve as a sign to our MSPs that we’re recognized as best-in-class, trusted experts who can help them advance their businesses, improve efficiencies, and avoid risk.

In August, we collected three awards at XChange, an annual conference that gives IT channel leaders and decision-makers an opportunity to connect, build strategic business partnerships and agendas, and plot the future course of the channel. By winning XChange Best in Show, XCellence in Solutions Pavilion Strategy, and XCellence in Channel Program, Pax8 was collectively recognized for our innovative products, services, and partner programs that support solution providers in meeting the needs of our customers.

Looking Ahead to 2023: Stepping into the Future

With as much innovation as we’ve delivered for MSPs in 2022, one thing is clear — we’re just getting warmed up. This upcoming year promises even more as we invite our partners to step into the future with Beyond 2023.

Beyond 2023 is our inaugural global event in Denver, CO, happening on June 11-13, 2023. It’s a three-day immersive experience centered on innovation and community and will deliver a sneak peek at what the future holds for the channel.
