SFI is Microsoft’s strategic framework to embed security into every product and process — secure by design, by default and in operations. It includes actionable patterns for identity protection, threat detection and secure development.
Credential-based attacks are rising. Microsoft recommends phishing-resistant MFA using FIDO2, passkeys or certificate-based methods to reduce exposure.
Partners must maintain a Partner Center Secure Score of 80 or higher to remain eligible in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. This includes enabling MFA, designating security contacts and responding to alerts within 24 hours.

Non-compliance may result in loss of CSP credentials, inability to transact or removal from Microsoft’s partner ecosystem. Annual assessments will verify eligibility.
