Kite Technology Group has spent 30 years helping independent insurance agencies thrive in an increasingly digital world. They’re a people-first organization, proud to partner closely with their clients while navigating complex regulations and ever-changing technology.
Azure was new territory for KiteTech. They’d migrated a few legacy servers and lifted some workloads to the cloud, but building a mature, managed Azure environment felt like stepping into a beast — costs, complexity and customer timelines all loomed large. When a client challenged them to build a virtual desktop in the cloud, they turned to the Pax8 Kickstart Program for the structure and expertise to move fast and build with confidence.
How Pax8 Helped
The Pax8 Azure Kickstart Program changed the game for KiteTech. Structured courses guided the team from fundamentals to advanced infrastructure management, while live instructors answered questions in real time. “A lot of people move workloads to Azure, but then you need to know how to manage costs and protect resources. The Kickstart Program really covers these practice management skills over time,” said Adam Atwell, CTO of KiteTech. Combined with hands-on labs and step-by-step guidance, the program gave the team practical experience they could apply immediately.
With Microsoft incentives unlocked through Pax8, KiteTech expanded services and built an Azure practice that doesn’t just solve today’s problems but positions the team to evolve with client needs.
Equally crucial was Nerdio. What began as an Azure tool quickly became a backbone for KiteTech’s Modern Work practice, making the cloud manageable and actionable. “Our practice wouldn’t be the same without Nerdio,” Adam notes. Today, Microsoft, Pax8 and Nerdio form KiteTech’s top three technical partnerships, powering migrations, daily operations and long-term growth.
