Pax8, a cloud distribution technology company, has confirmed to Denver Business Journal that it has selected Colorado to expand its business and create 1,800 new jobs.
The company was approved on Thursday for more than $18.9 million in incentives by the Colorado Economic Development Commission under the moniker “Project Sky.”
The Greenwood Village-based company will be adding to its 375 employees it already has in the state. Many of the new Pax8 jobs will be in the Denver metro area, but $275,000 in strategic-fund cash incentives are going to the creation of rural remote positions. That makes Pax8 the first company to receive the incentives, called Location Neutral Employment or LONE incentives, since they were created last year.
