Lantech doubles market growth rate of managed service providers with Pax8
Problem
Administrative bottlenecks preventing growth
“We were spending two or three days a month reconciling large spreadsheets of data. We wanted to spend more time working with our clients than reconciling spreadsheets.”
Peter Strahan, CEO and Commercial Director at Lantech
For Lantech, the goal of spending more time serving clients and fewer hours on time-heavy administration tasks had previously been out of reach.
The Irish managed service provider (MSP) had identified that faster, more accurate billing reconciliation and consolidation were important, but it needed a partner that could provide this to reach its growth goals.
Lantech also sought faster order processing and cloud software consolidation, which would reduce its reliance on multiple vendors.
Solution
Consolidated billing and expert support
“It wasn’t just one or two people within Pax8. There were whole departments, Professional Services and knowledge from various sources that we were able to hook into.”
Peter Strahan, CEO and Commercial Director at Lantech
It soon became clear to Lantech that Pax8 could offer support in more ways than expected.
With just the Pax8 Marketplace to transact through, Lantech’s sales process was enabled so its purchasing and account management team could acquire new cloud software quickly and easily. Reconciling was accurate and automated, with one monthly bill.
The Pax8 Marketplace also integrated with Lantech’s professional services automation tool, meaning it had a reliable way to automatically update client agreements based on the transactions clients were conducting.
The depth of support that Pax8 provides has allowed Lantech to design new client solutions, address problems requiring more knowledge and access training to grow its team’s skill set.
Lantech recently introduced automation for its larger clients who use self-serve options in the Pax8 Marketplace. When the company onboards a new user, the required licences are automatically purchased, making set-up immediate.
With access to Pax8 Professional Services, Lantech has taken on more clients and increased its capacity without hiring additional staff.
Pax8 has also supported Lantech to explore and develop AI solutions for business insights, enabling the company to react quicker and spot potential issues earlier.
Benefit
Continuous innovation, infinite growth
“We’ve got to keep innovating, and Pax8 is one of the tools in our arsenal that helps us to do that.”
Peter Strahan, CEO and Commercial Director at Lantech
Lantech benefitted from the processes and safety Pax8 brought to its initial transition, meaning that the company wasn’t tied up in the day-to-day of switching to a new provider.
With everything taken care of by Pax8, Lantech was free to focus on providing its clients with better service and greater efficiency.
The ease with which anyone at Lantech can access Pax8, from purchasing in the Marketplace to support and Professional Services, has allowed the company to serve its clients faster and provide superior support.
For some of Lantech’s larger clients, this means the ability to make changes 24 hours a day and reconcile their own licensing at anytime, anywhere, without Lantech needing to be involved.
Lantech has also benefitted from the thriving community that Pax8 is building, having attended Pax8 Beyond in Denver and Berlin.
With easy access to vendors, peers, market trends and changes, the company has gained different perspectives on issues, services and routes to market, which ultimately benefits its clients and its business.
Results
Outgrowing competitors
“We’ve probably doubled the market growth rate of MSPs, and some of that is down to working with Pax8 and our very close relationship with them.”
Peter Strahan, CEO and Commercial Director at Lantech
Lantech has seen its growth double the MSP market rate. In the last 12 months, Lantech has increased its spending with Pax8 by 25% and gone from using two vendors to five.
The company has been able to take on larger clients thanks to its partnership with Pax8 and support around Microsoft transactions and renewals.
The service has become faster. Thanks to automation that purchases licences immediately, the larger, self-service clients can now set up new users instantly, eliminating the need for Lantech’s involvement and reducing setup time from days to minutes.
