Florence campus embodies values of digital inclusion.

Oct. 3-7 is Digital Inclusion Week, an annual week of awareness, recognition, and celebration organized by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), a non-profit focused on programs that help bridge the digital divide across the United States.

Pax8 models the tenets of the NDIA, which include advancing digital equity by supporting programs that invest in underserved rural and urban communities. Digital Inclusion Week highlights the role that businesses can play by creating career opportunities, mentoring and internship programs, volunteering, and donations of equipment and services, and Pax8 is no exception.

One key Pax8 initiative that embodies the values of Digital Inclusion Week is the expansion this year of our presence at Emergent Campus in Florence, a rural community about 100 miles south of the Denver area. This innovative workspace located on the grounds of what was Florence High School and Middle School has been reimagined as a work-live-play style business campus, with space for incubation, trainings, offices, and events.

Pax8’s relationship with Emergent Campus began with a small pilot in August 2020 with four people but exceeded expectations and has expanded since.

In fact, the return on our investment in Emergent Campus has provided us a blueprint for expanding this program to other communities outside of big cities, and we’ll be opening more great places to work across the U.S. and globally in the years to come.

Our people are at the center of everything we do, and we actively recruit with diversity and inclusion as a core value in our DNA.

Pax8 has been ranked in the Inc. 5000 for five consecutive years as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. and ranked #1 on the Denver Business Journal’s Fast50 as the fastest-growing large business in Denver, Colorado.

Earlier this year, we were honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award in the U.S. small and medium company category, in the 2022 Best Places to Work program.

Our commitment to a positive, supportive, inclusive culture fuels our growth and prosperity, and allows us to recruit, train, develop, and promote professionals from all backgrounds.

We promote and celebrate diversity at Pax8 through programming, resource sharing, and ongoing communication regarding diversity initiatives not because it is “good business” but because it is “great business.”

By embracing diversity of thought, ability, culture, and perspective, Pax8 becomes a more efficient, knowledgeable, and successful organization. Thanks to committed leadership and a dedicated department accountable for measurable goals and outcomes, Pax8 created its first social impact position in January 2020.

The mission of the Pax8 social impact team is to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our culture to inspire positive change and achievement in our people and communities while ensuring that every employee feels like they genuinely belong at Pax8.
