The Challenge: Scaling with Consistency and Control

As TrueMark’s AWS practice grew, manual account provisioning and long delivery cycles created friction for customers.

Key challenges included:

• Time-intensive, error-prone AWS account setup
• Inconsistent tagging, security baselines, and configurations
• Delays and risk during account ownership transitions
• Limited compliance visibility and traceability for regulated industries

These inefficiencies slowed customer adoption and introduced operational risk, especially for clients in regulated or cost-sensitive sectors.

The Pax8 Solution: Automated Account Lifecycle Management

Pax8 partnered with TrueMark to replace manual workflows with a fully automated AWS account provisioning and governance framework, featuring:

• Pre-built landing zones with embedded security and compliance controls
• Automated provisioning workflows through the Pax8 ordering platform
• Standardized tagging aligned with FinOps best practices for cost visibility
• Preventive and detective governance controls leveraging AWS-native tools
  (SCPs, AWS Config, CloudTrail, Conformance Packs, Security Hub) and third-party solutions like Wiz and Prowler, selected per customer requirements and cost considerations

This automation allowed TrueMark to deploy governed AWS environments quickly and reliably, reducing manual intervention and risk.

Secure Account Transitions

To simplify and secure AWS account handovers, Pax8 implemented a structured, auditable process that enabled TrueMark to:

• Validate compliance and readiness before every transfer
• Execute legal and operational handoffs with complete documentation
• Integrate transitions into Pax8’s ITSM workflows via ServiceNow for full traceability

This repeatable process ensures every account transition is secure, compliant and transparent.

Governance Through Code

TrueMark adopted Infrastructure-as-Code automation to enforce consistency across all environments. Paired with Pax8 billing visibility and AWS Cost Explorer access, this approach gives customers:

• Real-time insight into cloud spend and trends
• Confidence that resources are deployed securely and consistently

By shifting governance into code, TrueMark can scale securely without sacrificing control.

Enablement and Scale

This collaboration extended Pax8’s enablement model into AWS, empowering TrueMark to:

• Build scalable deployment pipelines
• Implement governance automation
• Standardize multi-account AWS operations

With Pax8 Academy training and enablement resources, TrueMark’s team gained the autonomy to deliver governed AWS environments at scale, driving speed, security and partner independence.
