Meet Ashlie Arnold, Rural Empowerment Programs Manager
What is your role at Pax8 and how long have you been here?
I’m a Rural Empowerment Program Manager. I work with rural communities to establish Pax8 through our Rural Empowerment Program. I’ve been here for one year!
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
Various calls with economic developers and community leaders, working alongside all departments regarding Rural updates, and lots of research into the rural communities across America.
Which technological innovation made the biggest impact on your life?
Any technology that reframes analog information into digital. Like the data needed to develop 3D printers or the algorithms that affect purchasing behavior.
What’s one important skill you think everyone should have?
The ability to gather data, analyze it, and verify an opinion.
What commercial jingle gets stuck in your head all the time?
Not a jingle, but “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!” from The Little Engine that Could.
Meet Pedro Wall, Channel Account Manager (CAM), Pax8 UK
What is your role at Pax8 and how long have you been here?
I’m a Channel Account Manager, so my role is to manage relationships with small and medium-sized businesses. My approach is consultative, which allows me to discover new ways to drive vendor engagement. I was hired in March 2021.
What past experiences or lessons do you bring to your current role?
My background is B2B and B2C tech sales. I’m a chartered member of the BCS institute and I have a knack for consultative selling and building rapport. I stick by the phrase, “Work hard, but party harder.”
What are your favorite albums from your teenage years that you still rock out to when nobody else is listening?
Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak and The College Dropout are unmatched to this day. Let’s hope his pending album Donda hits as hard.
What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
A cobra’s heart — Vietnamese style.
There are now 25 hours in a day! How do you spend your extra hour?
Lying in bed, surfing through social media, or browsing the next purchase.
Morgan Huber, International Operations Senior Manager, Pax8 UK
What is your role at Pax8, and how long have you been here?
As our International Operations Senior Manager, I coordinate initiatives that contribute to the success of our UK and European teams. I joined back in February 2020.
Why did you want to work at Pax8? What did you find most attractive about the company?
Pax8 had been my dream company for years! I admired Pax8 for engaging its employees and improving their quality of life. It’s incredible to be a part of an organization that pours so much energy into supporting its team members.
Did you have an imaginary friend as a child? If so, what was their name?
No imaginary friends for me.
If you could gain a trait from any animal, what would it be?
I would like to have three hearts like an octopus!
What dance move are you secretly awesome at?
Oh, it’s no secret… “Cha-Cha Slide” is my jam — only because it tells me the exact moves to make and when.
