Program Updates
New CSP Requirements and Incentives
New compliance and performance benchmarks for indirect resellers are just around the corner. Effective October 1, 2025, indirect resellers must:
- Complete business vetting
- Have a minimum of $1,000 TTM billed revenue at the reseller tenant level
- Complete the mandatory requirements of the Partner Center security score (when made available)
- Accept the Indirect Reseller Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA)
- Have Solutions Partner designation for solution areas or 25 partner capability points, specific to the solution area incentive
Have $25,000 TTM revenue for all solution area incentives at PLA
Solution areas for incentives eligibility are defined as:
- Modern Work incentives: Solutions Partner designation for Modern Work or Security
- Business Applications incentives: Solutions Partner designation for Business Applications
- Azure incentives: Solutions Partner designation for Data & AI (Azure), Digital & App Innovation (Azure) or Infrastructure (Azure)
Potential Microsoft Commerce incentives are also changing in FY26 — catch up with everything Microsoft announced back in May here.
Partner of Record Requirements
Microsoft is tightening controls around order processing. Effective September 1, 2025, indirect resellers:
- Must use Partner Location ID (not Global ID) on Pax8 orders
- Can only complete orders in countries Pax8 is authorized in (US, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Southeast Asia)
- Can only complete orders in countries in which the indirect reseller is authorized
- Must have active reseller status in Partner Center
- Must have signed the MPA
Also, any customer who signed an MCA prior to April 2023 is required to sign the newest MCA starting October 7, 2025. And effective January 5, 2026, all indirect Resellers must have their customer sign the MCA through either a partner attestation API or through direct customer acceptance. Failure to have the customer sign the MCA will result in failed orders.

In both scenarios, the customer must have a monthly Azure Revenue of $500 or more for two consecutive months within the program term. Learn more here.
Pax8 Marketplace
A number of exciting new features for the Pax8 Marketplace were announced at Pax8 Beyond last month. Take a look at everything that’s new in the Marketplace below.
Public Storefronts
The Public Storefronts feature of the Pax8 Marketplace is now live. This allows you to give prospects a clear view of your offerings without enabling self-service.
Try Public Storefronts to share a read-only version of your storefront (no login required) and generate leads through a built-in contact form. You can embed storefronts on your website or share via a hosted link, and customize branding, layout and product categories to showcase your value without added complexity or risk. Try out storefronts here.
Integrations Hub: MCP Servers
MCP Servers give you structured, secure access to Pax8 APIs — making it easier to power custom development, AI tools and real-time data workflows. This lets you access Pax8 data through a centralized API server; connect AI tools like Copilot or Claude for natural language queries; build dashboards, forecasting tools or internal systems; and eliminate the need for direct API calls and complex setup. Learn more here.
Integrations Hub: Events and Webhooks
Events and Webhooks let your systems respond instantly to activity in Pax8, enabling real-time automation without constant polling. You can subscribe to key events like “Invoice Ready” or “Subscription Created,” trigger external workflows the moment changes happen, reduce manual tasks, improve response time, view delivery logs and manage webhook subscriptions in one place, and connect to automation platforms like Zapier, Make or n8n.
New Checkout Experience
The new checkout experience gives you a faster path from cart to order, shortening the steps it takes to check out, with fewer errors and blocked orders.
Global Search
Our brand-new global search is designed to help you find what you need quickly and efficiently across the entire Marketplace. With a new, modern search design, keyboard shortcuts and contextual search with quick links, recent searches and the ability to filter by specific contexts, our search has been redesigned from the ground up for better, more accurate results.
