At Pax8, we’re committed to helping our partners run their business with more clarity, control and confidence. Every feature we build is designed to remove friction and make it easier for managed service providers and managed intelligence providers to focus on what they do best: serving their clients.
Today, we’re proud to introduce the new Migrations feature in the Pax8 Marketplace. This capability is the result of months of collaboration between our product, engineering and partner experience teams. It represents a major step forward in how partners can move Microsoft subscriptions into Pax8.
Built for Simplicity and Transparency
Migrating Microsoft subscriptions has long been a pain point for partners. The process was complex, manual and often required coordination between multiple systems and people. Partners had to submit forms, wait for manual updates and track progress through support tickets.
With the new Migrations feature, that experience is changing. Partners can now initiate, monitor and complete inbound Microsoft subscription transfers directly in the Pax8 Marketplace. The tool provides a guided, step-by-step experience that gives partners full visibility into the status of each transfer along with clear next steps when an action is required.
“Our partners deserve technology that supports how they work today,” said Libby McIlhany, Chief Product Officer at Pax8. “This feature was built with the goal of making migrations faster, smarter and far more transparent. We listened carefully to partner feedback and what we heard was simple: they wanted a process they could trust.”
Designed Around the Partner Experience
The Migrations feature is more than just an automation tool. It’s a reflection of how Pax8 continues to evolve the Marketplace into a true ecosystem built around partner success. The feature allows:
- Partner-initiated migrations for Microsoft subscriptions directly in the Pax8 Marketplace
- Real-time progress tracking and visibility into errors or expiration timelines
- Bulk migration support for partners managing large client portfolios
- Automatic company and subscription creation within Pax8 once transfers complete
- Service delivery integration for any migration that needs additional support
These capabilities help partners save time, reduce service escalations and improve accuracy across every transfer.
“This release is part of our larger vision to create connected, intelligent workflows across the Pax8 platform,” said McIlhany. “We’re building tools that anticipate what partners need next. Migrations is one of the first steps toward a future where the Marketplace can automate complex processes with confidence.”
Laying the Foundation for More Innovation
The Migrations feature is launching ahead of Microsoft’s upcoming renewal season, giving partners the ability to simplify and consolidate their client subscriptions before new NCE commitments begin in early 2026.
But more importantly, it lays the foundation for future innovation within the Pax8 platform. The same infrastructure that powers Migrations will support additional transfer and automation capabilities across products, vendors and integrations.
“This isn’t just a one-time feature,” McIlhany added. “It’s part of a larger roadmap focused on removing operational barriers and unlocking new levels of efficiency for our partners.”
The new Migrations feature is now available in the Pax8 Marketplace.
