As one of Ohio\u2019s largest managed service providers (MSP), FIT Technologies<\/a> makes security awareness training a priority for both its internal team and clients. This has traditionally included conducting annual training sessions supported by phishing simulations.<\/p>\n

But as cyber threats evolved, the company noticed users were still falling for phishing attempts tied to topics covered in training.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe needed to have something more continuous to have a habit change in their daily workflow,\u201d said Jason Collins, Chief Information Security Officer at FIT Technologies.<\/p>\n

The FIT team realized it needed to go beyond typical awareness sessions and create more consistent training to enact behavior change. And it needed to act fast, before the MSP or one of its clients fell victim to one of these threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cAI has brought more sophisticated attacks,\u201d Collins said. \u201cGiven the new threat landscape, we were seeing consistent failures on some of the simulations that we were doing, specifically around content that was covered quite heavily in the annual training.\u201d<\/p>\n

To face this issue head-on, the team leaned on its partnership with Pax8, which helps the MSP continually evaluate and evolve its technology stack. FIT Technologies shared the challenges of managing security awareness training internally, including the time required to create content, deliver training, and track results across more than 60 clients, so Pax8 recommended usecure<\/a>. The platform stood out for its strong alignment with the MSP market and its focus on behavior-based learning.<\/p>\n

With usecure, FIT Technologies replaced lengthy annual training sessions with short, targeted lessons delivered throughout the year. The platform centralizes security awareness training, phishing simulations, and reporting into a single solution while keeping content relevant as threats evolve.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving continuous, bite-sized sessions allows us to make security training relevant and consistent throughout the course of the year,\u201d Collins said.<\/p>\n

The shift also reduced the administrative burden on FIT Technologies\u2019 team.
