Bristol, UK (20 January 2023)<\/strong> \u2013 Pax8<\/a>, the leading cloud commerce marketplace, today announced its new Senior Director of Security, Mostyn Thomas. He previously worked with Pax8 to support the delivery of the company\u2019s Cyber Security Masterclass events. Thomas now joins the team full-time where he will oversee the company\u2019s channel security operations, enabling partners to reduce risk, gain efficiencies, and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been closely working with Mostyn for a while now, and he has been doing a fantastic job providing vital cybersecurity training to our partners,\u201d said Phylip Morgan, Chief Revenue Officer at Pax8 EMEA. \u201cHis experience as a former managed services provider (MSP) is invaluable to our community, and he is a natural fit to join our business. Not only will we be able to increase our specialised cybersecurity training, but he will play a pivotal role in Pax8\u2019s continued expansion into Europe, allowing us to partner with more first-class security vendors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Globally, Canalys predicts that cybersecurity investment will by rise by 13% in 2023, with total spending expected to hit US $224 billion by the end of the year.1<\/p>\n

Thomas brings more than 20 years of experience working with MSPs, particularly within cybersecurity and compliance. Before owning his own MSP business, he worked in the IT departments of a local authority and Panasonic, then moved to an MSP in Cardiff, Wales.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled to join Pax8 at such an important phase of its growth in Europe,\u201d said Thomas. \u201cI am looking forward to working closely with partners to ensure they have the best training and solutions to get ahead of any future threats.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to his unique experience, Thomas holds security certifications from NCSC, CompTIA, British Computer Society, and IASME. He has also recently worked with Pax8 to help MSPs align their sales strategy with the UK National Cyber Security Centre Cyber Essentials Framework. 2<\/p>\n
