See a summary of this month\u2019s updates on all things Microsoft below.<\/p>\n<h2>Program updates<\/h2>\n<h3>GDAP changes for MSPs and Pax8<\/h3>\n<p>Microsoft has transitioned from delegated administration privileges (DAP) to granular delegated admin privileges (GDAP), a security feature that provides partners with least-privileged access following the Zero Trust cybersecurity protocol.<\/p>\n<p>If a partner has a GDAP relationship with a customer, Microsoft will not transition DAP to GDAP. Microsoft will disable DAP by the end of July. For new customers, Pax8 will prompt partners in the checkout flow to establish GDAP between Pax8 and the customer. A partner can bypass this but should then establish DAP.<\/p>\n<h2>Update to Azure Reserved Instances (RIs)<\/h2>\n<p>As of May 1, Pax8 has shifted to a self-service model for Azure Reserved Instances and Azure savings plans.<\/p>\n<p>This allows partners to purchase RIs and savings plans on behalf of their customers within the Azure Management Portal. These SKUs are no longer available for purchase in the Pax8 Marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>Partners are now able to provision, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel RIs and savings plans immediately within the Azure Portal. Partners with existing Azure RIs and savings plan subscriptions are not impacted. Billing for Azure RIs has shifted to arrears from bill ahead.<\/p>\n<h2>Audio conferencing<\/h2>\n<p>Partners who had NCE annual commitments prior to\u202fMarch 24, 2023,\u202fare now subject to the current MSRP at renewal.\u202f\u200bPartners with NCE annual commitments for Microsoft\u202f365 audio conferencing\u202fneeded to cancel services at\u202ftheir renewal and\u202fpurchase Teams audio\u202fconferencing\u202fto continue to utilize audio conferencing at $0.<\/p>\n<p>Pax8 provides the following enablement and offers around Azure Virtual Desktop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner enablement sessions\u200b<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on labs\u200b<\/li>\n<li>Pax8 Bootcamps\u200b<\/li>\n<li>Migration and deployment offers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Microsoft Cloud Partner Program<\/h2>\n<p>There are seven Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program (MCPP) designations: Infrastructure (Azure), Data and A.I. (Azure), Digital and App Innovation (Azure), Modern Work, Security, Business Applications, and Microsoft Cloud. Designation is judged on these three criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performance: net customer adds<\/li>\n<li>Skilling: demonstrating your skilling and training by intermediate and advanced certifications<\/li>\n<li>Customer success: usage growth and the number of solution deployments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To reach designation, a minimum of 70 points must be earned, with points in each category, out of 100 points possible.<\/p>\n<h3>MCPP offerings: what do you get?<\/h3>\n<p>One you hit MCPP designation, here\u2019s what you get:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Product benefits<\/li>\n<li>Incentives and rebates<\/li>\n<li>Go-to-market service<\/li>\n<li>Technical support and advisory hours<\/li>\n<li>Training and enablement resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some restrictions to the program eligibility apply.
