Pax8 Adds AWS Solutions
On April 12th, Pax8 announced a new North American Distribution Agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Pax8 will leverage AWS to enable managed service providers (MSPs) in North America to build public cloud applications with increased flexibility, scalability, and reliability.
The solutions will be widely available for Pax8 partners on May 18th. A kickoff webcast will be hosted that morning by Ryan Walsh, Pax8 Chief Operating Officer, and Jeremiah Jenson, AWS Global Leader of Distribution. They will talk about why Pax8 and AWS chose to partner; how MSPs can grow with Pax8 and AWS; and, how you can get started. A Q&A with industry leaders will round out the webcast.

Pax8 Raises a $185 Million Funding Round Led by SoftBank Vision: Fund 2
On April 11th, Pax8 announced $185 million in new equity capital from new investor SoftBank Vision: Fund 2. This increased the company’s valuation to $1.7 billion. SoftBank Vision Fund led the funding series with additional contributions from existing investors Catalyst Investors, Sageview Capital, Blue Cloud Ventures, and Liberty Global Ventures. As part of the transaction, Kristin Bannon, Investment Director at SoftBank Investment Advisers, will be named to the Pax8 Board of Directors.

Pax8 Appoints Puneet Pamnani as new CFO
On April 18th, Pax8 announced Puneet Pamnani as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his role, Puneet will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations and legal functions, as well as its M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions), capital markets activities, and maturing the company’s financial processes and controls to the levels of a public company.
